You are all amazing. Absolutely amazing. A massive shout out and Thank You to Jen at Misfits Rehab for saving the lives of these little baby bats (along with the lives of countless other critters in need). Wildlife rehabbers are truly one of a kind. Their care and compassion is out of this world. I have much to say about this, but I will leave it at that.

And then of course, thank you to each and every one of you who contributed.

Baby Bats!

2 of the 5 baby bats that were found in the bottom of our chimney on the night of June 18th.

Trying to Re-Home

My husband Luke on our roof at 11pm trying to figure out how to get the baby bats back up into their roost.

Taking Bats to Rehab

After speaking with 2 different rehabilitation centers we decided that the bats were too weak to make it back up into the roost on their own and there was no way for us to put them back there. So I put gloves on, put them in a box, and drove them to Misfits Rehab!

Bat Slumber Party

Baby bats have “milk teeth” and so won’t release the nipple which makes feeding difficult. Instead they are given them own “pinky” (a piece of foam) to receive milk through that they can each hold onto!
